An unexpected visual surprise, recreating the arduous behind-the-scenes process of filmmakers
Extending from last year’s theme of “refocusing,” we see more pandemics, wars, and unforeseeable trials. And there are still many more unknowns ahead of us. In such difficult times, the film industry is facing even more severe chaos and challenges.
The key visual this time paid tribute to the unknown dedication and spirit of filmmakers through the theme, “Traces: The Texture of Existence.” The scratches, marks, and wear on the equipment, as well as the tans, sweat, and scars on every person, all serve as evidence of the difficulties of filmmaking. Yet filmmakers insist on enduring these difficulties, allowing their works to come to fruition and touch the hearts of people.
The number 59 makes up the Golden Horse logo and promptly transforms into the 3D Golden Horse type. We specially invited Hollywood-class Taiwanese Scenic Art Consultant Frank Chen to work on the visual. The surface texture of the 3D Golden Horse type reproduces the atmosphere and circumstances of filming on set, such as tape, weather conditions, and the traces of wear and tear created by crew.
