A gala expressing the 17 SDGs of the United Nations

We expanded the focus of last year's Golden Pin Design Award, which revolved around 'sustainability.' This year, we delved deeper by incorporating the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations into our design concepts.

The theme of the opening film for this ceremony was "Gala at 23:59," derived from observations made in 2019. Amid the upheavals of the year, such as the Amazon Forest fire, melting ice formations, animal species' extinction, the spread of African swine fever, and the Hong Kong anti-extradition protests, humans came to realize that self-concern alone was insufficient. The butterfly effect, with the power to influence the entire world, became apparent. As if counting down to an apocalypse at 23:59, this triggered the infinite possibilities of design, turning the impending crisis into a creative gala for all of mankind.

In this video, we creatively combine Chinese typography and graphic design to present interview footage in a realistic reporting style. Utilizing this visual approach, we aim to enhance the understanding of the serious topics discussed in the video and create a space for meaningful discussion.
